Role overview
: We are seeking an Insurance Coordinator to verify patient coverage, coordinate authorisations and claims, and support accurate billing and timely payer follow-up.
Reports to: Revenue Cycle Manager / Operations Manager
Responsibilities
✓ Verify patient eligibility, network status and applicable benefits.
✓ Submit and track pre-authorisation requests with clinical support.
✓ Check claim documentation and coordinate coding and billing queries.
✓ Track rejections, resubmissions and outstanding payer responses.
✓ Explain approved coverage and patient liability without guaranteeing payment
Requirements
✓ Diploma or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, insurance, business or a related field.
✓ Working knowledge of healthcare insurance authorization and claims workflows.
✓ Medical terminology and coding knowledge; coding certification is an advantage.
✓ Eligibility checks and pre-authorisation
✓ Claims tracking and rejection follow-up
✓ Payer portal and practice management systems
✓ Patient communication and medical terminology
✓ Accurate documentation and confidentiality
